Imitation Bamboo Array

仿竹陣.jpg

Bamboo has special cultural significance in Northeast Asia. In classical ink paintings, bamboo has become an important theme because of its symbol of the gentleman's virtue. In Taiwan, due to historical and cultural factors, bamboo admiration continues to this day. Imitation bamboo railings are common fence facilities in Taiwan's scenic areas. They are made of cement moulding in this modern society, and the colour is mostly conspicuous bright green. In contrasting the speed and beauty of the cement injection mould and the sober, profound, and classical of Ink Bamboo(墨竹), I deliberately juxtapose the two in my work.
